Our topsie turvee teepee

So last weekend BZ dad and number one son went off to the AFL with Pop to watch a game. Number two son and I spent the day at home and decided to make a little teepee. It didn't turn out all that great, but Master 5 was happy enough with his little "spy" headquarters.

We based it on the below image that I found via Let the children play.

What you need:
Bamboo sticks which we got for $5 from our local hardware
Hessian bags
Twine
Masking tape
Scissors

Tie bamboo sticks together with twine and stand in shape of teepee.

Cut hessian bags in half, then cut corner on one side to slide down over the top of the teepee.

Tie further bags around the bamboo sticks and let the kids inspect for satisfaction?

Like I said ours is far from perfect, I am not the most patient person and we have since had to reinforce it a few times to make it a bit more sturdy.

Great activity to do with the kids though, and MUCH cheaper than any you could buy. I would highly recommend giving it a go!
