You don't know what people hide....

You see an active boy. You watch him running past. You may see the scars. You may fear to ask. You may think I helicopter parent. You may doubt my worries. You may think it is all behind us and we have no more concerns.

There is always the daily battle to let go of the reins and let your child branch out and push past the limit. The fear today might be the day. The doubt that it is not just a cold. The pain of remembering...

Only a parent with their own untold story can truly understand. We don't always know what people hide. A simple smile to show you understand is sometimes all is needed.

We try to stay open and honest with our little hero and let him know he is a very brave and lucky boy.

Not everyone is that lucky.  Not everyone understands.
