Memories never fade...

Sadly we lost our most treasured nanny and my dear mother this week.

I don't think life will ever be the same again, but we are thankful that she is at peace now and safe from the pain and confusion.

It was a very shocking and unexpected call on Wednesday morning. Nobody wants to hear such sad news.

I am glad dad got to be with you when you slipped peacefully away, I know that will be a memory he can cherish forever. It has been a long, rocky road for the past couple of years and we are saddened, heartbroken and confused, yet also relieved that you no longer have to suffer from that terrible disease.

Monday we say our final farewell which I am dreading, so I hope you can be with us on the day to help keep us strong and brave. Our boys miss you terribly already, but have so many beautiful memories I will make sure they hold close.

Our memories of you will never fade and we were so lucky to be blessed with such a special nanny and mother.

I know there's nothing I can say that will make it "better" or less painful, but my deepest sympathies are with you and your family, particularly as you farwell your mum on Monday.

Big love, Trac xox
